About Me

I’m Fiona Salmon — author.
My name is Fionia Salmon. I was born and raised in Swaby’s Hope, Spur Tree, Manchester, and attended Bellfield High School. I later moved to the U.S., where I earned my degree in Business Management with a minor in Marketing from Monroe College in New Rochelle, NY.
I’m an entrepreneur, author, and Pilot Crew Scheduler with years of experience working for companies like Signature Aviation, Republic Jet Center, JetBlue Airlines, and Nippon Cargo Airlines—specializing in flight crew scheduling, training coordination, and logistics management.
I’m also a proud mother of two wonderful children—Adiel, 21, and Madison, 5—who inspire me every day.
Faith has been my foundation throughout life’s ups and downs. God has sustained me through every challenge, guiding me with strength and hope.
I’m passionate about uplifting and motivating people to overcome their challenges and live with purpose. This passion inspired me to write my memoir, It Will Be Long, But Not Forever, a story about endurance, faith, and overcoming hardship as a single mother. The book was named Bold Publishing’s Book of the Month for February 2025 and has been featured on various media outlets, receiving praise for its inspiring and relatable
message.
In addition to my writing and aviation career, I host two podcasts on my YouTube channel, FioniaAndFriends:
• Motivational Mondays Podcast, airing every 1st and 3rd Monday, features guest stories of overcoming adversity and personal triumph.
•Thankful Thursday Podcast, airing every 2nd and 4th Thursday, highlights expert insights and practical advice on a variety of topics.
Both podcasts aim to uplift, inspire, and empower listeners to live their best lives despite the challenges they face.
If my story and work can encourage others to keep moving forward with faith and resilience, then I know I’m fulfilling my purpose.
